I am perhaps the most weary critic of female vocals to date.. but alas i have become enamored by emily haines somewhat recent solo album.. I highly recommend "Knives Dont Have Your Back".. to anyone looking to enjoy a bit of beautiful sadness.

then you have no buisness listening to this song..

Gotta be honest. I prefer Metric a whole lot more, but her solo LP is still decent. I guess I just prefer seeing her all hyper than depressed.
And don't worry...you're not soft unless your listening to Joanna Newsom. Blech...
